Leica IIIa rangefinder (1938) with Elmar 50mm f/3.5 lens
The Leica IIIa was introduced in 1935. The production continued until 1946. Basically this model is identical to the Leica III except that the additional speed of 1/1000th was added to the shutter range thus making the camera more suitable for sports photography.
